LabShares Newton is excited to announce the return of our annual Launch@LabShares pitch competition! The grand prize, valued at over $50,000 awards one winning biotech startup one full year of lab access and office space in our fully equipped and newly renovated BL2 lab at 90 Bridge St in Newton, MA.

The final deadline for application submission is September 15th, 2022, at 11:59 PM ET.

Applicants must submit a pitch deck for consideration. The MTTC has

provided this PowerPoint Deck as a reference outline for those 

constructing a deck for the first time. Please submit your deck to info@labshares.com when finished with the application, linked in the button above. 

 

The pitch deck, in no more than 12 slides, should be a non-confidential presentation covering your mission, the science your company wishes to conduct, strategy, team, and funding.

Eligibility

​

The 2022 Launch at LabShares competition is open to life science biotechnology start-up companies. Startup applicants must : 

• have raised at least $250k and no more than $5m in funding  

• be less than 3 years old 

• have fewer than 5 employees

• Work protocols must fall within requirements for BL2 lab standards  

• The winner must be prepared to move in and begin operations by December 1, 2022.

Interested companies should complete and submit a brief, non-confidential pitch deck and fill out the application by September 15th, 2022. Entries will be reviewed by the LabShares team, and five semi-finalists will be selected to present their pitch to our panel of judges, composed of LabShares Staff as well as representatives from our sponsors, within the first two weeks of October 2022.
