Labshares Expands Leadership Team with New Hire and Internal Promotion

Newton, MA — May 27th, 2025— Labshares, the premier provider of shared laboratory services for biotech and life science companies in Greater Boston, is pleased to announce two key leadership updates that will support its continued growth and commitment to community-building.

Erik Sargis has joined Labshares as Director of Business Development.

Labshares is pleased to welcome Erik Sargis as our new Director of Business Development. Erik joins us from Thermo Fisher Scientific, where he spent the last four years in commercial roles supporting life sciences organizations. He holds a B.S. in Biochemistry from UC Santa Barbara.

At Labshares, Erik will lead efforts to grow our member base and build strong relationships throughout the biotech community. His experience and insight make him a valuable addition to the team, and he’ll play an important role in helping Labshares continue to grow and strengthen its presence as the premier shared lab space in the Greater Boston area.

Emma Orfanos Promoted to Director of Growth and Community Engagement

Emma Orfanos has been promoted to Director of Growth and Community Engagement, in recognition of her contributions to Labshares over the past three years. Since joining Labshares, she has been pivotal in the company’s growth, helping to expand its presence and attract new members. She holds a B.S. in Neuroscience from UMass Amherst and brings a strong foundation in science and strategy. In her expanded position, Emma will support business development, build brand awareness, and lead marketing and community initiatives. She will help drive Labshares’ continued expansion and visibility across the biotech ecosystem.
